Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of a Marketing Events Coordinator are to:
  • Identify and coordinate company activities including, but not limited to: trade shows, community and sponsorship-related events and campaigns, and  internal events across our South Carolina Markets (including but not limited to Columbia, Charleston, Greenville & Myrtle Beach)
  • Under Management guidance, create and optimize relevant content that reflects the company’s core values across social media platforms in order to grow, engage & retain customers
  • Track and provide analysis of results from event-based marketing activity in SC region
  • Track inventory in Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Myrtle Beach offices and keep Charlotte up to date on any inventory needs, coordinate shipping/delivery of items
  • Assist in coordinating internal company events as necessary

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify events for Company participation that will effectively promote the brand message and/or directly result in sales generation
  • Obtain and complete all necessary documents and approvals  for Company participation
  • Coordinate all logistical components required to facilitate successful participation in events and shows
  • Partner with other members of the Marketing Department to select and coordinate the disbursement of supplemental marketing materials for each event
  • Assign and track the use of all Company marketing materials utilized and manage all activities for repair and/or replacement of materials as needed
  • Actively assist in social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
  • Brainstorm & facilitate creative content ideas that are relevant to the industry and company values
  • Respond to social media inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Complete and submit all payroll documentation for individuals participating in Company-sponsored events
  • Partner with Sales Managers to ensure adequate staffing during hours of event participation
  • Set up and break down booth exhibits for onsite Company presence
  • Serve as representative at trade shows and marketing promotional events
  • Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters
  • Attend and participate in Company events as needed
Experience and Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 1-2 years previous event coordination experience
  • 1-2 years previous marketing experience
  • 1 to 2 years previous sales experience
  • Clean criminal background check with no felonies and proof of acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to submit to a drug test
